Treatment Option Overview
Treatment planning by a multidisciplinary team of cancer specialists who have
experience treating ocular tumors of childhood is required to determine and
implement optimum treatment. Because of the complexity of therapy, expertise
in pediatric radiation therapy and ophthalmology should be available.[1]
The designations in PDQ that treatments are “standard” or “under clinical
evaluation” are not to be used as a basis for reimbursement determinations.
