1.Adjuvant Aromatase Inhibitor Therapy for Breast Cancer (Posted: 05/13/2008, Updated: 08/11/2008) - In this clinical trial, postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer that has been surgically removed will be randomly assigned to receive either anastrozole or exemestane for five years. 2.Preventing Delayed Nausea in Breast Cancer Patients (Posted: 10/23/2007) - In this trial, different combinations of drugs will be tested to see which is most effective in preventing delayed nausea in women undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. 3.Education and Exercise to Prevent Lymphedema (Posted: 07/24/2007) - This study compares a lymphedema-prevention education program to the same education program supplemented with an exercise regimen and counseling in women who have been newly diagnosed with breast cancer and who will undergo axillary node dissection. 4.Adjuvant Bisphosphonates for Breast Cancer (Posted: 07/25/2006, Updated: 05/15/2007) - Drugs called bisphosphonates may be able to prevent bone metastases in women with early breast cancer. With this trial, researchers are comparing a bisphosphonate called clodronate with two newer, more-potent bisphosphonates--zoledronate and ibandronate--in women with stage I-III breast cancer. 5.Reactivating Tumor Suppressor Genes (Posted: 04/17/2007) - This is the first clinical trial to test the combination of a drug called 5-fluoro-2'-deoxycytidine (FdCyd) and tetrahydrouridine (THU) in humans. Researchers are interested in establishing the maximum tolerated dose and determining how this regimen affects the activity of certain tumor suppressor genes in patients with advanced solid tumors.
